Twitter is great so far! Originally I did not think I could see myself using it much in a classroom setting, however I now see it can be more helpful than I thought. One thing you can really get from twitter is the fact that you can see the perspective of other teachers. Twitter in exchange, allows for you to share your own personal ideas and actually makes you feel excited to share them. Even if you are not sharing for likes or retweets, it allows for a space to document your thoughts and ideas. The only thing that can be difficult is thinking of the correct clear wording for certain things, however it has been great so far.
The web design has been my favorite thing we have done so far in this class. I truly enjoyed creating the website and I can see how it can keep not only my students, but also me as a teacher organized one day. One new skill I acquired was creating the google calendar. Some of my teachers have used these in the past, however I have never kept one personally. I always found it helpful when teachers would use these and I will definitely do the same as an educator. It can really be useful in planning and organizing. I also liked how you can color coordinate events. There was nothing too difficult in creating the website and I truly enjoyed being able to design and create the whole thing. It really made me excited about having my own classroom one day.

Assistive and adaptive technologies can truly change a learner's life. One of my friends from school has been in a wheel chair her whole life and has almost no mobility in her hands. She has a device that lets her speak responses, which really helps as an alternative to writing. Her wheelchair itself could be viewed as a tool as it makes maneuvering around much easier. It can be adjusted to raise up or down so engaging in conversation can be made easier. Tools such as her speaking one however really make a huge difference in her life. It allows for much more independence in the fact that she does not always need someone there to write or circle answers for her. One downfall with these technologies is how incredibly expensive they are. These devices can range from 5,000-10,000 dollars which many students can not afford. In my opinion, the ADA needs to be updated to include requirements for some technologies for students.
