I think that the excel data collection tools can be used best for self evaluation as an educator. if you were to enter your grades and see a majority of lower scores, it can be helpful to see where your students are. If your students are getting a low average, you may have to start reflecting to see what you can change in order for this average to go up. Another thing excel data collection does it la everything out for you. Once you can visually see a list of your students scores, it can make it easier to visualize what they may need to improve on and what you can improve on as a teacher. It directly lays out what your students scored lower on and are therefore probably struggling with. For example, if you're teaching 10th grade psychology and you see your average scores for the chapter one test on intro material is high, you know you taught it well and it is probably a relatively easy chapter. The flipped classroom is intended to be an educational technique in which a lot of classroom materials and in class information may be available online to the student to access ahead of class or just whenever. With this, class becomes the designated place to work through problems and concepts that students did not understand on their own. In this way it is almost like instruction is done at home and homework is done in class; hence the title of flipped classroom. Overall, this concept is risky and it puts a lot of emphasis on individual student responsibility. This could be a very positive or very negative thing. I had not used Diigo before this class and I love it! The extension within the browser is really helpful and organizational because it can keep your educational and social bookmarks separated, if you were to keep all school related bookmarks in Diigo. In this way, it can be a great tool to use individually  On top of this, it is a great way to promote student interaction of ideas. Classroom wise, this can be great for viewing your students and peers overall findings. I also like how it can bookmark and post the same website multiple times because it is then easy to see which website most students found helpful. One thing that is so great about PowerPoint In is that it can appeal to both visual and audio learning. In this way, it can definitely appeal to all levels of bloom's taxonomy. Twitter is great so far! Originally I did not think I could see myself using it much in a classroom setting, however I now see it can be more helpful than I thought. One thing you can really get from twitter is the fact that you can see the perspective of other teachers. Twitter in exchange, allows for you to share your own personal ideas and actually makes you feel excited to share them. Even if you are not sharing for likes or retweets, it allows for a space to document your thoughts and ideas. The only thing that can be difficult is thinking of the correct clear wording for certain things, however it has been great so far. The web design has been my favorite thing we have done so far in this class. I truly enjoyed creating the website and I can see how it can keep not only my students,  but also me as a teacher organized one day. One new skill I acquired was creating the google calendar. Some of my teachers have used these in the past, however I have never kept one personally....

I have been leaning towards wanting to teach the subject of psychology recently so I created a Kahoot of some basic psych concepts. Kahoot can be a great way to implement technology into the classroom because students use their phones to connect to and access the game. It is also great because the teacher can implement teams in which students can share ideas in the process of answering the question. The questions are also timed, so it adds some incentive and excitement to the game. Kahoot can be an amazing tool when teachers are reviewing for tests. It keeps students engaged and allows for interaction amongst students. It can also provide a lot of feedback for the teacher to know what students are understanding and retaining and what they are not.

For this assessment I used my old high school's webpage. Their webpage was always very easy to maneuver and the layout was overall clear. On the homepage, they include a "faculty and staff" tab in which instructors, the subject they teach, and their email and website are listed in columns. One thing about Buchholz, is that teachers were not required to maintain a website, so many of the website columns are empty. However, the teachers who do keep up webpages often include important and useful information publicly for parents and students on these pages. One thing about teacher websites is they allow for backup in case paper handouts are lost. It also gives parents access to info such as the syllabus and important curriculum, supplies, and teacher contact information.
